Every Thursday evening we went to Ester’s Chakra Dance workshop, where she had created a haven of complete peace.  With candles, flowers, incense and crystals placed on little alters all around the room, it felt just like entering a temple when we arrived.
I had been wearing a rainbow moonstone pendant during the full moon, for intuition, and to reflect on aspects of the female cycles, but I wanted to enhance the emotional healing effects of the dance, so I put a  malachite crystal and a citrene crystal into a little silk purse, which I wore under my clothes next to my solar plexus.
We dedicated one week to each chakra. We always started with a quiet grounding exercise, to relax into the evening, and leave our busy heads behind,.

Then Ester would do a guided meditation, telling us about the chakra, so we could visualize it, getting a sense of it’s essence. This really helped me to reconnect with, and stay in my body.

After this we`d begin to dance, starting slowly, and sometimes getting quite wild, we`d move, expressing the energy of the chakra. Ester has a most unusual collection of tribal, out of this world music, which just makes you want to dance and explore the movements.

When we had danced enough, she played her Sacred Sound instruments, while we stretched out and relaxed on the floor.. she serenaded us with singing bowls, rain sticks, rattles, drums and bells, and it was soo soothing. There is something both primal and cosmic about these sounds.

I felt my cells dancing and tingling through my entire body. I felt I had lost a few million years of stress. I felt exorcised, blissful, alive.
