Angel Jewellery. Making a necklace story..
My work with the Angels, the jewellery and the gemstones takes me to far away places some of the time, and it is so wonderful to come back to the home country, to be with family and friends, to eat the good wholesome food grown in this rich green land. I have longed to be surrounded by my talented family, enjoy the warmth of familiarity, walk the wild moorland paths, and visit my special places where I re-connect and relax. Getting with friends, passing an evening together, remembering and laughing about old times adds to a wonderful sense of belonging..is this really us, these women more silver grey than less, aching in the places we used to play, cholesterol through the roof, hiding our yawns at 10pm? We aren’t sewing patchwork quilts this evening, not quite, but somewhat in the same vein I brought my collection of beads to our little gathering, and as we sat around the table catching up on each others lives, we made the most beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Some made gifts for their grandchildren, another re-stung her grandmothers garnet necklace, while more of us put together glorious bead creations for the summer, often re-cycling our favourite beads with Turquoise, Silver, Rose Quartz, Amber and Coral in all kinds of combinations and styles. ..take a look at these ..
Patchwork quilts tell a story, and so do beads. They have a history, a memory and an intention. Blessings on the women, and the friends I adore..
Love again
