From the moment you are born you begin to learn about the world. You are malleable, receptive and impressionable. When you begin your journey of life on earth, with your unique soul spirit, you are dependant on Mother and Father to care for you, protect you, and love you unconditionally.
Unconditionally means loving you in your essence, as you are, no matter what you do or fail to do, no matter what think, believe, feel or what opinions you have.
Some people with children understand this notion, but unfortunately many more do not. Many parents expect their children to be exactly like them and some parents and caregivers can reject their children if they do not think, feel, or hold the same options as they do. Many parents are distracted by addictions, or mental or physical illness’s that can leave a child feeling lonely, unacknowledged, unsupported or afraid.
And many do not know that from birth to around 5 or 6 yrs of age a child’s brain is in a Theta state. Theta is a type of brainwave associated with deep states of meditation, spiritual experiences and states of higher consciousness. In Theta we are completely “open” and like a sponge, we soak up all the experiences and information in the environment, positive and negative. These experiences will be stored in the subconscious forever (unless you change them). So you see how easily we may all have been negatively programmed.
The Jesuits, a religious order of monks, have a famous maxim: “Give me a child for the first seven years, and you may do what you like with him afterwards.” (Lenin later went one better and reckoned if he had the child for eight years, they would be a Bolshevik forever). What both quotes show is just how influential those early years can be on the whole of one’s later life.
If you failed to learn in childhood that you’re lovable exactly the way you are; if you were always in trouble, if you rarely got the love or attention you craved, if your opinions were not valued, if you always had to smile, put on a brave face, or be on your best behaviour, if you felt responsible for, or had to “look after” your caregiver, and if you were not loved for all your quirky little ideas but shamed, criticised and ridiculed.. then THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WILL DO TO YOURSELF WHEN YOU GROW UP.. So this is how it goes;
- If you have shame attacks, it’s because you were shamed.
- If they did not believe in you, you won’t either.
- If you were criticised, you will be critical of yourself, and others.
And if they did not love you, imperfections and all, you will struggle to appreciate just how amazing you really are because your subconscious mind has held on to all the negative input and believes it is the truth. The smirks, the ridicule, the jibes, the criticism and the put downs are now embedded in your subconscious and even you believe you are not good enough.
And that’s the message that was embedded into your subconscious many moons ago; notions put into your tiny, wee head, when you were a pure, innocent and divine little child.
Start Now! Build A Healthy Self-Belief
By the time we begin to notice these limiting beliefs we are already deeply programmed, and probably on a downward spiral. Limiting beliefs about ourselves result in low self-esteem, physical problems, eating disorders, addiction, under achieving, anxiety, depression and many more symptoms of an unsatisfying life.
Archangel Jophiel is the Archangel who lifts up our mood to a higher vibration, and wearing his pendant helps to keep our thoughts positive and clear out old, negative beliefs. The lovely Archangel Jophiel necklace with abundance attracting crystals of citrine, amber and carnelian strengthens our resolve to work continuously on our positive beliefs and finally start to live the life we came here to live. I love this quote by Mahatma Gandhi. It reminds me that in our effort to attain peace, everyone is worthy, and exactly equal to everyone else. No two leaves are alike and yet there is no antagonism between them or between the branches on which they grow. ~ Gandhi.
